CCFT has kicked off a new Faculty Mentorship Program in response to the high number of new part-time and full-time faculty who have joined us at Cabrillo. So far, more than twenty seasoned faculty have volunteered to provide support for colleagues in their first year of employment here. CCFT Mentors guide new instructors to resources on the campus, serve as liaisons to CCFT, and provide a support network to faculty new to "the Cabrillo way." The mentorship program needs more faculty to volunteer. Mentors and Mentees do not need to be in the same department. It's a wonderful opportunity to reach out and familiarize oneself with faculty in your own or other divisions. Interested instructors can contact Beth McKinnon, CCFT Membership Chair, at bemckinn@cabrillo.edu or ext. 6394. for more details. Information describing the program purpose and role of mentor is linked here. |
