Between CCFT & the Cabrillo Community College District
July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2013

In the spring of 2009, the Governing Board approved the reduction of two full-time Children's Center teachers commencing with the 2009-10 academic year.
This Side Letter of Agreement satisfies Article 15 of the collective bargaining agreement which sets forth that CCFT and the District will bargain any impacts of a decision to layoffs contract or regular faculty.
Both of the affected employees, Jill Golsh and Eddie Jobe, shall be given the option of either one year of continued medical coverage (coverage will be the same plan they had in 2008-09, if available,) or a one-time $10,000 payment in lieu of the medical coverage. The District will have the affected employees sign an agreement regarding which option they select.
In the event that either faculty member accepts the $10,000 option and is reemployed for the 2009-10, 2010-11 and/or 2011-12 academic year, the faculty member will repay $3,333 to the District for each year of a contract worked. The annual amount ($3,333) shall be prorated in case of a partial contract. The amount will be repaid by payroll deduction on a schedule agreed to by the District and the employee.
The parties agree that this agreement is not precedent setting.
