The District and CCFT agree to the following with regard to tenure track service for Kristin Wilson, Anthropology Instructor.
- A. Ms. Wilson completed year 1 of her tenure track service in 2005-2006 and year 2 in 2006-2007.
- B. Ms. Wilson took two semesters of unpaid personal leave during the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 academic years (Fall 2007 and Fall 2008).
- C. Notwithstanding Ed Code §§87468* and 87469,**,the District and CCFT agree that Kristin Wilson will need to work a 100% assignment in the 2009-10 academic year to fulfill her tenure track service in order to be eligible to be recommended as a “regular” academic employee in the academic year 2010-2011.
- It is also agreed that these provisions above apply only to Kristin Wilson and is neither binding nor precedent setting for any other academic employee at Cabrillo College.
- * Education Code §87468 defines that a contract employee who, in any one college year, has served for at least 75 percent of the number of days the regular schools of the district in which he or she is employed are maintained shall be deemed to have served a complete college year.
- ** Notwithstanding Education Code §87468, §87469 defines that a contract employee employed by a community college district who, in any college year consisting of two semesters or three quarters, has served more than 75 percent of the number of hours considered as a full-time assignment for regular employees having similar duties in the community colleges of the district in which he or she is employed, shall be deemed to have served a complete college year.
