Classroom Election DOs and DON'Ts
DON'T
- Tell students how they should vote on any proposition
- Cancel class on election day to
facilitate easier voting
- Decorate your classroom in Prop 30 messaging
- Assume that all of your students are eligible to vote
- Give extra credit to students who
vote without an option for those who can't (letter to the editor, etc.)
- Penalize students who don’t vote
- Present your opinions as official college policy
- Disparage Prop 38 in comparison with Prop 30 (rather, educate on the differences)
