ABOUT CCFT
The Cabrillo College Federation of Teachers (CCFT) is your faculty union. CCFT was organized in 1984; our first contract was ratified in June of 1985. As the exclusive bargaining representative for faculty of the Cabrillo College District, we represent all faculty, including those who choose not to become members. Union delegates and officers are fellow Cabrillo faculty who work very hard to ensure your rights in and out of the classroom. One of the most valuable of these efforts is the negotiation of the contract that governs your earnings as well as the conditions under which you work. Helping settle grievances and enforcing the contract are other important activities of CCFT. Our state and national affiliates-- the California Federation of Teachers (CFT) and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT)-- work to monitor the legislative process and lobby where necessary to protect your interests and improve your working conditions.
The CCFT office is currently located in room 1404b of the Computer Technology Center on lower campus.
